Nearly 40 years ago Russian scientists developed vibration training for use by their Olympic team to enhance the performance of their athletes. Later it was applied to Russian Cosmonauts who returned from space with significant muscle and bone loss. Research proved utilizing prior to and after returning from space easily restored muscle mass and bone density. Vibration training and Power Plate workout were commercialized in Europe in the late 1990’s.The founders of Station Fitness utilized their extensive backgrounds in fitness, wellness and rehabilitation to develop programs geared to individuals with various degrees of physical and fitness levels. They developed a unique training protocol on the Power Plate as the first “Vibration Studio” receiving recognition in Vogue, SHAPE, W, New York Magazine and on The Early Show, CW 11 Morning and Tyra Banks.
